Artist Sudarsan Pattnaik paid a heartfelt tribute to Irrfan with his sand art creation on the Puri beach today. Irrfan, 53, died at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on April 29.

“Miss you Irrfan,” Pattnaik inscribed in his artwork along with an outline of the actor’s face. In his creation, the artist also imprinted a part of Irrfan’s acclaimed dialogue from his 2012 film Life Of Pi: “Not taking a moment to say goodbye.”

“I suppose, in the end, the whole of life becomes an act of letting go, but what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye,” is the complete dialogue which went viral soon after the news of Irrfan’s death.

“Heartfelt tribute to the Bollywood legend #Irrfan on his untimely demise. My sand art at Puri beach with message, “… not taking a moment to say goodbye.”
