Hyderabad: After staying home for more than 55 days, the State capital slowly began to return to normalcy on Tuesday with offices and business activities resuming.

As it was the first day, the staff mainly preferred to clean the premises in the morning in most places before starting their regular work.

Barring areas in containment zones, activities in all the commercial localities in Secunderabad and surroundings started from 9 am itself. As there is no public transport, most people opted to travel on their own vehicles.

A large number of employees came to their workplace with their colleagues on two-wheelers. Some hired auto-rickshaws and cabs that were allowed to operate with a limited number of passengers.

The areas near Secunderabad railway station, Monda Market, Ranigunj, General Bazaar, Bible House and S.D Road teemed with people.

A large number of vehicles were also seen at the junctions at Sangeeth Theatre, Patny Centre, Paradise Circle and Ranigunj, to mention a few.
