HYDERABAD : Welfare programmes for the poor and needy, apart from increasing State revenue to run such programmes, has been Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s mandate to officials and Ministers right from the day Telangana was born, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said here on Friday.
The State government is extending all support to the people during the Covid-19 pandemic and has offered immediate relief to families that were affected due to the recent rains, he said, pointing out that six years ago, when Telangana was formed, there were many apprehensions among people, especially regarding development and law and order. Dispelling all those fears, the Chief Minister is striving to make Telangana the top State on all counts in the country, he said
