Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a video message with the nation today, amid the Coronavirus crisis in the country and urged the people to battle the darkness of coronavirus by lighting diyas, candles and torchlights at 9 PM on Sunday, April 5 for 9 minutes. He asked people to keep the lights of the houses switched off during the activity. The deadly contagion has claimed more than 50 lives in the country and has infected more than 2500 people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the Chief Ministers of all states via video conference on Thursday and asked the CMs to keep the focus on testing, tracing, isolating and quarantine. The nation is in the second week of the 3-week countrywide lockdown imposed by the PM to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today when crores of people are inside homes, then some of us may think how will they fight this battle against COVID-19 alone. Such questions might come up in your mind. But please remember, none of us is alone. The strength of 130 crores of Indians is with each one of us: PM Modi. I urge people to not gather at any place outside their homes and rather do this activity at their respective doors and balconies: PM Modi.
I seek your nine minutes on April 5, on Sunday, at 9 PM. I urge you to switch off all the lights of the house and come out in your balconies with candles, earthen lamps and torch lights, to show support and unity towards our fight with coronavirus: PM Modi. Today we have entered the ninth day of nationwide lockdown, says PM Modi in a video message. Hails people’s support.
