Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to share a video of a banker using steam iron to disinfect a cheque.
India is under a 21-day nationwide lockdown to control the spread of the novel coronavirus. However, several essential services like banks are still operating. Amid this scenario, a video from a branch of Bank of Baroda in Gujarat has surfaced on the internet. In the video, a cashier can be seen using a steam iron to disinfect a cheque.
Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to share the video which is now going viral across social media platforms.
The clip shows a man handing over a cheque to the cashier through a window. The banker, who is seen wearing a mask and hand gloves, collects the cheque using a tong. Sounds bizarre? Well, there is more to it. He puts the cheque on his table and then runs a steam iron over it in an effort to disinfect the virus.
Anand Mahindra shared this clip with the caption, “In my #whatsappwonderbox I have no idea if the cashier’s technique is effective but you have to give him credit for his creativity.”
