Hyderabad: Telangana Government has decided to promote all the tenth class students in view of the coronavirus situation in the state.
This decision was taken by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao after he reviewed the situation at a high level meeting here on Monday.
The promotion of all tenth class students will be done on the basis of the internal assignment marks awarded to them and the grades they got.
According to an official press release, there were 5,34,903 students in the State taking the SSC examinations. The lockdown was declared after conduct of three exams for two subjects. The conduct of exams was postponed following High Court directions.
The Chief Minister reviewed the tenth class examination systems in all the States and took the decision. Education minister Sabita Indra Reddy , Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Education secretary Chitra Ramachandran and others attended the meeting.
