Jyotiraditya Scindia, who recently left Congress and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has tested positive for the highly contagious coronavirus and is admitted at in Delhi’s Max Hospital in Saket, reported news agency PTI.
“He has tested positive for COVID-19,” PTI quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, news agency IANS reported that his monther Madhavi Raje Scindia is also admitted at Max Super Speciality hospital in Delhi’s Saket. However, her test results are awaited.
According to IANS, the two developed symptoms — throat irritation and fever — of COVID-19, following which they were admitted to Delhi’s Max Hospital.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also underwent COVID-19 test after developing sore throat and fever. The test report is expected later in the night or by Wednesday morning. The chief minister had gone into self-quarantine after developing mild fever and sore throat. Kejriwal has not been attending any meeting since Sunday afternoon
.Recently, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra was also admitted to a Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon after he develpoed symptoms of the coronavirus infection. His test reports are being awaited now.
