Tollywood celebrities once again showed heart by donating to the CM Relief Fund towards the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of flood victims.
Leading actors of Telugu cinema announced contribution for relief in flood-affected Telangana starting with Nandamuri Balakrishna who two days ago donated 1.5 crore and many others followed. Jr NTR pledged an aid of Rs.50 lakh and Vijay Deverakonda donated Rs.10 lakh. Mahesh Babu donated 1 crore, Akkineni Nagarjuna donated 50 lakhs. Much like the dialogue in Mahesh Babu’s movie Srimanthudu, where he says ‘we need to give back otherwise we would get fat’, the actors urged others to help the people of Hyderabad in whatever way they can. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao earlier announced a financial package of Rs.550 crore to provide immediate relief to people residing in flood-affected areas of ULBs including GHMC and its surrounding municipalities.
